Frank Sinatra’s NYC Penthouse re-decorated and price chopped to $5.595m

We reported earlier this year in March that Frank Sinatra’s NYC Penthouse apartment which had been on the market for a year at $7.7m was reduced to $5.89m. Now, his New York Penthouse apartment is back on sale re-decorated, furnished with a new broker Elliman (former broker was Rubicon) for a further reduced price of $5.595m.

At 3,200 Square Feet of space, this NYC Penthouse is on the market for $1748 per square feet. Not exactly a bargain but in line with mint condition New York Penthouses that have sold at ever increasing prices in the past few months. If we were to guess why this penthouse apartment has languished on the market, it would have to be the choppy layout without any staging to showcase how well it could work for a buyer. Now the staging is out of the way, and it’s in the hands of the Elliman team, we would expect offers to be forthcoming despite it being re-launched during a traditionally slow time of the year for apartments..especially penthouse apartments. These apartments really shine in warmer weather when the outdoor space does all the selling. Hard to be out on a high-rise terrace when it’s 25*F outside!

Let’s take a look at this newly re-decordated and staged ┬áNYC Penthouse apartment for sale:

The foot of the floating glass Apple-esque stairs with checkerboard hardwood flooring..a lot of commentors online seem to not like flooring but I think it works here like it did in the Gartner penthouse apartment

The lavender walls have to go..it does not work for this room both visually as well as historically..this is Frank Sinatra's NYC Penthouse apartment after all!

Overall, I think this NYC Penthouse is well priced and with a few tweaks – like painting over the lavender walls in 2 of the bedrooms, doing up the outdoor space with lush green foliage we have a winner here. At $5.6m asking, I think $5m might clinch the deal.
